Hey All Doo'er's,

I have a 2003 Blair Morgan 800 edition sled. I have have only had the sled for a season and the rear shock seems to be sticking. When you put a load in the rear of the sled and release it the rebound is slow and doesn't come up all of the way. There seems to be some "race" sag just like my moto-x'er. However I don't think that this is the case for sleds's or is it? Is there some adjustments I can make to the shocks to improve the performance or does the shock need replacing if so what is involved?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated? Great site, thanks. Confused

Might be time for both rear shock rebuild(s).
Charge her up again.

But, really...
I would take the chassis out and go over all pivots, links... etc.
There is nothing like seeing the chassis move through the full range of motions on a work bench.

Great Mach9'er.....where would one find the information on taking one of these suspensions apart and would you know of a good place to get a recharge done and would you go with aftermarket parts or OEM??

Appreciate the the speedy response.

It's easy to drop the skid (chassis).
Look along the tunnel sides for the 4 main bolts, they'll go through 2 top shafts.
But first, loosen the track with the track adjusters at the back ider's.
Then lift up the tunnel (frame), or hoist it up.
Then kick an push and pull the chassis out.
Throw it up on the work bench and start unbolting everything.
Take a bunch of photos of it first, so you can go back later and assemble it right.
Take out the shocks and send it to a shock specialist.
In Ontario, these guys are known.
Shock Tec
or
H20 Motorsports

And here is where I take my bike stuff... would they have trouble with the easy sled shocks?
I dunno, call them and ask about Ski-doo shocks.

Since you're pulling the skid.
You might as well change all the idler bearings and check idler wheel rubber for wear and sliders also.
You can find Kimpex Doo idlers with bearings intact for like $22 each.
Bearings should be about $5 to $7 each depending on the qty you buy.
Cheers

Hey fellas thanks for the information. I will have the sled up in the air this weekend to start to take it apart and inspect all items that you have mentioned. Seems logical if you are having it all apart why not.... I will let you know how I make out.
